Jones Soda Co. Blue Bubble Gum Soda

As a rule, I'd have to recommend against Jones's "funny" sodas and stick with their more traditional fare (Cream Soda, Root Beer). Blue Bubble Gum Soda is, in fact, blue, and does, sort of, taste like bubble gum. But the lasting impression is of having consumed a bottle of "Unspecified Crush."

Sharp in all the wrong places, and only smooth if you leave it sitting for a few minutes, Jones Blue Bubble Gum is gimmicky beverage-making at its most naked. Maybe I'm getting old, but simple novelty doesn't inspire me to choose a beverage anymore … it's like, yeah, when I was younger, I'd go with an amputee hooker just for kicks, but nowadays, I just want something I know will get me off.
