Sprite

While the public debate over which is the best "uncola" rages on, claiming ever more lives each day, I feel I should weigh in with my assessment of Sprite. It is, of the three major lemon-lime colas, the most consistent, though not performing at the high peaks of flavor that Slice offers at its best.

Sprite is sweeter than 7-Up (which just needs to be put out to pasture, those desperate would-be-hip TV commercials being the last nail in the coffin), not quite as sweet as Slice, and overall it is a very refreshing beverage with no aftertaste and a satisfying smoothness.

I enjoy it most often in fountain form, although the plastic bottled version is also very good. As with most beverages, I avoid the canned version, because if God had meant us to drink from cans, He would have made lima beans in liquid form.
