I forget how much I love The Band's 'Tears Of Rage'. Such a sublime way to start an album. The song sounds like one long sigh of release, though the lyrics make it more of a worn-down sigh of disappointment. The band really rediscovered our love of The Band throughout the COS sessions. There exists many taped hours of us writing & relaxing & just enjoying making music - all bands should hole themselves up w/ recording gear at one point. Imagine listening to really good Motley Crue basement tapes - it's completely possible. All four of 'em on upright piano. Possibly. I think.
 
Speaking of COS, the choice for a new 1979 has been narrowed down to two. Another reason to snag the box set, I suppose.
