simple things

Ryan says:

Recent talk/debate in the LMP+friends circle has been over a 'whats-your-parachute-color'esque article over on Fast Company. I personally found it inspiring, although I can see where other's cynicism deserves the floor - back in the day, FastCo completely bought into the myth that any 25 year old w/ an internet connection was soon to govern his/her own personal island nation. Ha. Also, how does hearing stories - a bored 7-figure richie who 'chanced it all' on a llama farm, or a 37-year old middle manager who suddenly realizes there's more to life than her M-class - help the little guy? Amazingly, when I read the article, I wasn't focusing on those angles, so maybe my patented twentysomething cynicism has officially been banished for good?

Similarly, read about the Simplicity Movement.

Sorry if the above smells a bit 'NPR-ish'.
