record heartbreaking

Ryan says:
Eric & I were crushed to discover tonight that the LMP-preferred Chicagoland haunt Record Surplus closed last month. Each record store has its own strengths, and Surplus' was a great selection of vinyl (most notably classic rock + bubblegum). We would commonly hike over there during the Eckhouse 2K days, usually to escape the wrath of the Century beast. They still have a store out in LA, but a definite music-filling niche has been lost back at home. R.I.P.

As for LMP, thanks for all the correspondence as of recent. Yes, the Centurybox is still coming, no, we can't give a precise date yet, and no, we haven't recorded much/any new material lately. I have been recording another Green Bean musical, but besides that, the studio is in the process of another move (R.I.P. Shiny Vibes) and no new anything is planned until 2004, which very well might be the year of the LMP supernova.

take care of yourself,
Ryan
