 Poquito Mas
Poquito Mas is an excellent fast food burrito place all around. Clean, mostly fast service, excellent selection, and absolutely outstanding burritos. Having recently switched to non-meatarianism, it's been an interesting exercise discovering the various places where it's difficult to find a decent meal. Thankfully this whole California burrito revolution means lots of vegetarian burritos!
I wasn't very hungry on this visit, having imbibed 24 ounces of the delicious Decaf Ice Blended Vanilla from a nearby Coffee Bean – but the black bean and cheese burrito was superb, and I for one CAN believe I ate the whole thing. One thing Poquito Mas does that outclasses every other burrito place is that after rolling the fresh ingredients into the freshly warmed tortilla, they grill the completed burrito on both sides to a browned, crispy excellence. The free chips are an added bonus.
The only downside to this location was its location … Valencia/Santa Clarita is kind of out of my way. Restaurants should take me into greater consideration when hatching location strategy.
