![]() Hershey's Skor
I'd never had a Skor bar before the recent candy trend developed in the Loud Bassoon offices, so I figured now would be a good time to try one, since even if it sucked I could get a review out of it. Having now consumed one, I can shout it from the mountaintop: "It's a Heath Bar." Crisp buttery toffee coated in milk chocolate, Skor is sweet and sophisticated, and with its faux-Danish name, might even be preferable to Heath, purely for the sake of obscurantism. It tastes rather like the excellent toffee concoctions you can get from See's Candy, but in a much more mainstream way. Hershey's may be the Sony of the candy world, but if so, then Skor is definitely its Macy Gray. Review by Lorenzo Bourgeois |
