Hershey's Whatchamacallit

Despite the misdirected gimmickry of the name, Whatchamacallit is a personal "old standby" for me. If I remember correctly, when it first was introduced back in the early eighties, it was just tightly compressed crisped rice covered with milk chocolate. Somewhere along the line, they added a small bit of caramel, and that's the way it has stayed.

It's not too heavy, but neither is it insubstantial. A good, quality bar worth revisiting from time to time. I've frequently wondered why this one never was offered in "fun size" bars for Halloween scarfing. This oversight keeps Whatchamacallit an unheralded triumph instead of a ubiquitous travesty, like Chunky.
