Coke 3D
Now that the bitterness of the 80s and 90s has subsided, people are ready
to throw away their old, bitter habits as well as their old, bitter soft
drinks. This is why we've seen such a massive shift towards Pepsi in recent
years. Coke, trying to regain its hold on the market, recently launched
Coke 3D in test markets across the country. I got mine at a King Sooper's
in Colorado.
A recent trend in consumer products has been to expand into the third
dimension, as evidenced by Nintendo's GameCUBE and Microsoft's Coca-Cola Classic, except in a much more
concentrated form. The Coke portion has been increased by a factor of
three, while the water has been reduced to 1/3. Coke is obviously trying to
market this to the "extreme" crowd, but I'm afraid this drink is much too
intense for my taste buds.
