Blow Dry (2001)
Directed by Paddy Breathnach
Written by Simon Beaufoy

This cutesy comedy about the foibles and follies of various folks involved in the "British Hairdressing Championship" couldn't honestly be called terrible, but it's so reminiscent in tone of other "quirky" blue-collar Britcoms (The Full Monty, Brassed Off, Little Voice, and especially the Aussie Strictly Ballroom) as to be patently unnecessary.

It's pleasant enough, but enough with this kind of shit already. No more championships, no more "hilarious" schemes to raise money while on the dole. And, most of all, no more allowing Josh Hartnett to attempt a British accent.
