The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)
Directed by Peter Jackson
Written by J.R.R. Tolkien, Philippa Boyens, Fran Walsh, and Peter Jackson
Hoooooooooooooooooooooooooollllyy shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhittt on Lembas toast!!!!! Epic in all the right ways, and pure cinematic delight from start to finish. Perhaps no more movies need to be made. This movie is even better than "the movies," and indeed, far, far better than real life. Its only flaw is that I can not live inside it. The Lord of the Rings has made Star Wars look like a pinball machine. One wonders how Peter Jackson might turn his talents toward something that could top this maybe he should remake Star Wars. Since conventional ratings are out of the question, this film is awarded the supremely rare and apocryphal Jesus Moog.
