dn-L

I have to hand it to 7-UP for trying something new, although the novelty of dn-L is specious at best: basically, they just added green color and caffeine. Neither affects the taste; it tastes like 7-UP.

More troublesome, though, is the name "dn-L"—this works visually because you can see it's the 7-UP logo upside down. But when you say it, you sound like a damn fool. "Yo, bromo, let's go get a dn-L." It just doesn't work.

So I'm not sure where they're going with this. Trying to break into Mountain Dew's turf? That'd be like going into a gang fight armed with a calculator. I mean, caffeine or no caffeine, 7-UP is for sissies.
