V8 Splash® Tropical Blend

Kind of a sweetened, not-so-in-your-face-"I'm so healthy" version of V8, the V8 Splash® line features more than just tomato juice with which to darken your Bloody Marys or to use as fake blood for your Bloody Mary Halloween costume.

Tropical Blend (formerly Island Blend), is my personal favorite, as it is probably the sweetest, and we all know my ridiculous sweet tooth ("we all" referring exclusively to my doting mother).

According to the label, it contains a pleasing elixir of carrot, orange, and pineapple juice. Despite my utter hatred of carrot juice (true story – I nearly vomited after drinking some carrot juice at the tail end of a 24-hour juice fast – "true" of course not in this case meaning interesting or in any way valid), somehow it doesn't taste carrot-y, in fact it tastes more island-y. It's almost as if I were literally on an island somewhere and had personally picked the fruits and vegetables and squozen the juice myself.

Except this one comes in a 16-ounce plastic bottle, a perfect size if you ask this reviewer (previous statement intended as obscure, scathing rebuke of miniscule Starbucks Frappuccino bottles, a private war against which reviewer wages on a daily basis).

At the bottom of a bottle, you might realize you're drinking a beefed-up version of Tang, but if you did realize that, you would probably be some kind of crazed millionaire living on your own island, importing unsuspecting guests for a little game you like to call "Chase and Frighten and Then Murder the Guest." Huh?!
