Vess Cream Soda

An absolute favorite during my high school years (for reasons now hopelessly unclear), Vess Cream is sweet insanity that is perhaps best enjoyed in modest moderation. These days, if forced to choose something from the Vess line, I'd be more inclined to opt for a can of grape soda or root beer.

The near-fluorescent hue of Vess Cream is a bit unsettling, and the fizz disappears more quickly than quarters at a skee-ball convention. But if you gulp it down right away, it can be a nearly blissful experience. Be sure to have toothbrush and toothpaste nearby, however, as beverages don't get much more sugary than this.

Knowing how Vess is always one to follow, not lead, the pack, I wouldn't be surprised if a "clear" cream soda were to be unveiled in the near future. Perhaps the low-carb version will follow in, say, 2040.
