![]() Blow Out (Bravo) YES!!! The show, created by the people who brought us The Restaurant (which was nowhere near as much fun to watch), follows celebrity hairstylist Jonathan Antin as he sets up a second boutique, movin' on up from Melrose into Beverly Hills, baby. He gathers together a crew of up-and-coming stylists and colorists, deals with contractors, manages the daily drama, and attends to the needs of C-list-and-below celebs like Kate Bosworth and Margaret Cho. Antin is awesome to behold, in the same way Paris Hilton is on The Simple Life – he's a complete dipshit in every way, but perfectly handsome and always at the ready with the perfect dipshit line. Watching him interact obsequiously with fawning celebs who clearly love the attention, and then with his staff of wannabe LA scenesters, gives this show a nice blend of Real World, The Apprentice, The Simple Life, and E!'s entire programming roster. I don't know whether I watch because I care, or because I really don't care. Blow Out feeds both sides of me: the part who shakes my head in consternation at braindead Hollywood, and the part that really wants to get my hair cut at Jonathan Beverly Hills.
